Is Ellen Adarna finally ending her hiatus from the showbiz industry?
According to reports, the 32-year-old actress is all set to return to the showbiz limelight next year with a new television sitcom starring seasoned actor John Estrada. The series, titled “John En Ellen,” is inspired by the 70s show “John En Marsha” which starred Dolphy and Nida Blanca and will premiere on January in TV5.
In an article posted by PEP.ph, the story will reportedly be about a rich businessman named Don Lucky whose daughter, Ellen, elopes with her boyfriend John due to his disapproval of their relationship. After 16 years, Don Lucky pretends to change his mind about their love and welcomes their family back to his home where hijinks will eventually ensue.
Ellen and John will be joined by Ronaldo Valdez, Laboching, Long Mejia, and Angelina Cruz in the cast.
“John En Ellen” will begin shooting on January 5, 2021, in Antipolo City under the direction of Willy Cuevas. The pilot episode is scheduled to be released on January 17.
