In case you missed it, the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum is making a new wax figure of another Filipino icon, and it’s going to be boxing champ Manny Pacquiao!
Madame Tussauds Hong Kong first announced this news last December 2019 but it’s only now that Pacquiao shared a sneak peek at what the figure will look like.
“I’m very honored to be the next Filipino wax figure to join @madametussaudshongkong and I’m excited for everyone to see it! It was a different way to represent the country,” he said about the opportunity.
The video contained clips from the wax figure-making process, from matching his skin tone and having a pictorial to capture the boxer’s chosen pose. See it below:
Pacquiao joins the likes of Miss Universe beauty queens Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray in getting their own Madame Tussauds figure, bringing pride to Filipinos everywhere.
