LOOK: Xian Lim is Directing the Philippines’ First-Ever Puppetry Film Series

Kapamilya actor Xian Lim is directing an exciting project with the Cultural Center of the Philippines wherein he will help showcase the art of local puppetry and “give new life to local literary classics.”

Xian announced the upcoming project called “MALA” (“Movies Adapted from Literary Arts”) on his Instagram page which will feature unique takes on “Ibong Adarna” and “Florante at Laura” to be performed by renowned Filipino ventriloquist Ony Carcamo and his puppet, Kulas.

The project is considered the first-ever puppetry film series in the country.

According to the post, it will premiere this October. So, mark your calendars!
