Gyms, Internet Cafes, and More to Reopen Soon

The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) has already approved the re-opening of various businesses in areas under the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) in the Philippines. This includes gyms, internet cafes, and review centers, which will re-open at 30% operating capacity starting on August 1, 2020.

(These activities that are being re-opened were supposed to re-open in the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ). Although we haven’t reached the MGCQ yet, we reconsidered it for GCQ just so they can open.)

(The mindset of the whole IATF is to help residents, re-open the economy, and to allow workers to go back to work.)

If these establishments have a good compliance rate after a few weeks, they might be allowed to open up to 50% capacity.
