Lakam said, “You may look at her as a strong woman, unaffected of everything that is happening right now. But she is also a human being. May pakiramdam. [“She has feelings”]. She wants to show you she is happy, strong, positive, which she is, but behind that I know there are things that she doesn’t want to show us… she is trying to understand everything. She wants you to see her as a strong, brave woman standing up, taas noo [“head raised high“], rising up from all the bullies. Because she knows wala siyang ginawang masama. [“Because she knows she hasn’t done anything wrong.”]”

She added, “Singing inside the Wish Bus is like facing a big fear for her, di ko alam kung ready siya, kasi dyan nagsimula ang pinakalat na video to bash her honest mistake. [“Singing inside the Wish Bus is like facing a big fear for her, I’m not sure if she’s ready, because that’s where the bashing of her honest mistake started.”] “Parang ako natatakot sa kanya, [“I was scared for her”] but she said “okay lang. Go lang tayo.” [“It’s okay, let’s do it”]. She is so brave! Sang the song inside the Wish Bus, face the people who will put her down again once the video will be out, and sang the song live for the first time, which took her hours long to record because of the lyrics that hit her when she sings it.”

After achieving 10 million views across Facebook and YouTube on its premiere day, Bawal Lumabas just keeps on hitting milestones. Kim shared on Instagram that her performance of the single on the Wish 107.5 bus was the #1 trending video on YouTube as well as in the Pinoy Myx Countdown.

Kim also released limited edition Bawal Lumabas merchandise to raise money for charity. Proceeds of sales from the shirts will go to food packs and Angel Locsin’s mass testing fundraiser.
