Ogie Alcasid gives up toy collection of 24 years to raise funds for mass testing

Singer and actor Ogie Alcasid is making a generous donation to help raise funds for COVID-19 mass testing — his beloved toy collection built up over 2 decades.

“Been collecting these for over 24 years,” he shared on Instagram. “Time to let go of most toys so someone else may take care of them and at the same time people will be tested for Covid.”

Ogie adds: “Just helping an angel with her advocacy.”

Ogie’s toy collection will be donated to the “Shop and Share” project, an initiative by Angel Locsin and Anne Curtis which aims to raise money for COVID-19 test kits. Celebrities, musicians, and athletes are asked to donate personal items from designer bags, clothes, jerseys, jewelry, and others to be auctioned off as a fundraiser.

Angel showed her appreciation for the donation by commenting on the Instagram post: “Thank you, kuya! Ang dami!

The collection includes Star Wars action figures, collectible cars, vintage figurines, and many more.
