A true queen!
Paramore lead vocalist Hayley Williams just made Billboard history today when she became the first female artist to ever take the number one spot on the Top Rock Albums chart as both a solo artist and as a member of a band.
This achievement came just two weeks since she released her album Petals for Armor on May 8.
Hayley is no stranger to the top spot of the chart which her band Paramore has coveted thrice before—with Brand New Eyes (2009), Paramore (2013), and After Laughter (2017). This is the first time she’s gotten it as a solo artist, however.
She is also the second female artist to top the chart this year. Prior to her, it was Fiona Apple who reigned with Fetch the Bolt Cutters earlier this month.
