A lot of people have stopped working during because of the enhanced community quarantine. Now, the numbers are going up because the National Telecommunications Commission shut down ABS-CBN. Many of those who are set to lose their jobs are the actors who are under the network’s contract. One of them is Sharon Cuneta, who has considered ABS-CBN her home for 30 years.
In an Instagram Live, she said, “My heart is breaking. Thirty years na ako sa ABS-CBN. It’s my home. There are 10 of thousands of employees who are going to lose their jobs, and I cannot take that. There’s so much going on now. We have this virus. Wrong timing kasi ang daming natutulungan ng Kapamilya.”
On Twitter, her daughter Kakie Pangilinan joked about hiring her as an intern. At present, Pangilinan is an undergrad in New York, running the Simone Says magazine, and nurturing a career in music.

Cuneta responded to the tweet, saying, “Yes please! Gimme stuff to do and you won’t have to pay me! In fact, why do I get the feeling that I might be the only intern in the world who will fund her boss’ projects?! I love you! Please gimme a JOB!”
Pangilinan cheekily replied, “whoa there overachiever haha chill kid work ur way up the ladder.”
