Fans of the classic film Himala and its equally as brilliant Himala: Isang Musical will want to mark this event on their calendars: “Gabi ng Himala: Mga Awit at Kwento,” an online fundraising event organized by Lockdown Cinema Club, the Ricky Lee Scriptwriting Workshop, and Sagip Pelikula for displaced workers in the film industry.
It will be a night of fun, music, script reading sessions, and online discussions by some of our favorite stars in honor of the critically acclaimed Ishmael Bernal film.
To be streamed on April 21, 8 PM at the ABS-CBN Film Restoration’s Facebook page, “Gabi ng Himala: Mga Awit at Kwento” will feature scene interpretations by Olivia Lamasan, Angelica Panganiban, and Maja Salvador; and Bb. Joyce Bernal, Piolo Pascual, and Jodi Sta. Maria. It’s yet to be announced if there will be future additions to the lineup.
Lea Salonga will also grace the event to perform a song from Himala: Isang Musical written by Ricky Lee and Vincent de Jesus. Lee will then hold an online panel discussion about both the film and the stage adaptation together with Charo Santos-Concio and Nora Aunor.
