With the success of the many projects of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno and Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto, it makes sense that other public officials would find inspiration in their work and copy what would apply to their home cities. That’s exactly what Valenzuela Mayor Rex Gatchalian did when he saw Mayor Vico’s mobile palengke.
In a tweet, Mayor Rex said, “@VicoSotto we’re rolling it out na. Thanks for your idea!!! We tweaked it a little just to adjust to our terrain na (which) small roads…but the overall concept is the same…thanks for your concept!!!”

To fit Valenzuela’s narrow roads, Mayor Rex used e-tricycles instead of Pasig’s trucks.
Mayor Vico saw the tweet and responded, “Solid ‘to! I will show the team who designed ours.. it will be a big morale booster for them!!”
He added, “We continue to copy a number of your best practices as well. Pati yung sa distribusyon ng goods, natututo kami sa inyo. #KopyahanNaTo!“
