Three icons of Philippine entertainment join forces in another world-class offerings from Resorts World Manila and CCC Productions this February as The Filipino Balladeer Basil Valdez, Asia’s Nightingale Lani Misalucha, and National Artist for Music Maestro Ryan Cayabyab present And The Story Begins on February 28 and 29, 2020 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.
The powerhouse concert also features the Manila Symphony Orchestra String Ensemble for a two-night performance that’s set to redefine the local concert scene.
As the country’s premier balladeer for decades, Basil Valdez has etched his mark in the industry with such hits as “Ngayon at Kailanman”, “Paano Ba Ang Mangarap”, and “Muling Buksan Ang Puso” among many others.
Lani Misalucha on the other hand has captivated both local and international audiences with her impressive vocal prowess that earned her the stints at prestigious clubs and music lounges in Las Vegas and the complimentary moniker ‘Siren of The Strip’.
Meanwhile, as an artist who dedicated most of his career propelling other artists to shine, Maestro Ryan Cayabyab or Mr. C in the local entertainment circuit is known for his range of talents mainly in full-length ballets, theater musicals, choral pieces, orchestral pieces, to commercial recordings of popular music, film scores and television specials.
Bringing to the table 27 years of working together, Mr. C and Basil join Lani for the first time for two nights of music that promise to be remembered for ages. Combining their original pop hits that continue to enamor scores of music fans to this day, And The Story Begins is a precursor on how the Filipino music industry sets its roots for the new decade by revisiting the anthologies that defines local entertainment as it is today.
