It looks like the world will never be the same after Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda revealed in a tweet that the upcoming movie version will officially drop in theaters in 2021!

“Disney presents: Hamilton. With The Original Broadway Cast. Filmed onstage at The Richard Rodgers Theatre. In A Theater Near You. October 15, 2021,” he wrote.
It was on January 30 when Lin-Manuel revealed to Variety that a Hamilton movie was coming and will star the original Broadway cast.

Hamilton the Musical has become a pop culture phenomenon within the five years since it premiered on the Broadway stage. It went on to be the 7th highest-grossing Broadway musical since 1982, selling out most of its shows for its entire run.
It follows the story of Alexander Hamilton, an American-immigrant Founding Father, told through hip-hop, R&B, and traditional show tunes music. The original cast includes Lin-Manuel as Alexander Hamilton, Leslie Odom Jr. as Aaron Burr, Phillipa Soo as Eliza Hamilton, Jonathan Groff as King George III, and Daveed Diggs as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson.
