Here’s something to look forward to: Iza and Jameson Blake’s new film 400 Miles, where they will play lovers.
What’s notable about their tandem is that Jameson is 15 years younger than Iza. She told Inquirer, “I’ve always found Jameson very boyish. That was difficult for me. When I look at him, I don’t see a man. In my mind, I would say, ‘Ang bata nito! Para naman n’ya akong nanay.'” [‘He’s so young! I’m like his mother’].
Interestingly, the two have worked together in Ngayon at Kailanman, where Iza played the mom of Julia Barretto, Jameson’s love interest.
Iza noted the similarities between 400 Miles and Glorious, another romantic movie between a young man and an older woman. She said, “I haven’t seen that, and I guess it’s better that I didn’t so I wouldn’t copy anything. But when I saw the trailer, I thought, ‘May laban!’ We didn’t have the love scene inside the bathroom, but we did it on the beach.”
To prepare for 400 Miles, both actors attended a sensuality workshop facilitated by actress Angeli Bayani. They were also required to watch Call Me By Your Name, which follows the romance of 17 year old Elio and 24 year old Oliver.
400 Miles will be screened on iWant, but there’s no release date yet.
