With the aim of promoting science and technology among the Filipino youth, the UP Molecular Biology and Biotechnology Society proudly presents the Biosciences Quiz Bee, an annual competition for high school students. This year’s Biosci features exciting questions requiring theoretical proficiency and a practical round that will put the students’ lab skills to the test. Problems will come from six different fields of science—biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, earth science, and molecular biology and biotechnology.
Aside from being an avenue for fostering academic excellence among students, Biosci also aims to give a deeper look into science and technology. This year, we’ve invited speakers that will share their knowledge of applying molecular biology and biotechnology in fields such as medicine and research.
Now in its 26th year, Biosci 2019 is expected to have more than a hundred contestants from all over the nation.
It’s going to be a tough challenge, but who among them will come out on top?
