Going around social media right now is the rumor that a new Harry Potter movie is being developed with the original cast included.
We might see the reunion of Harry, Ron, and Hermione, according to Yahoo! News.
Apparently, their reunion is for the movie adaptation of JK Rowling’s theatre version of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which has been a huge hit.
This movie will serve as a sequel to the end of the original movie series that ended with part 2 of The Deathly Hallows.
Still, there is no confirmation of this from Warner Brothers, who now owns all future rights to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
Moreover, when JK Rowling teased about it on Twitter, she confirmed that it is a play and not a movie.

For now, then, as explained over and over again, there is no Cursed Child movie yet. But will there EVER be one?
Well, we’d never say never. While the Cursed Child is still making (quite a bit of) money in the West End, on Broadway and in locations in San Francisco, Hamburg, Melbourne, and Toronto, we don’t see why Rowling and her team would feel the need to turn it into a movie.
We just have to wait and see then.
