While some rumors and slight speculation concerning Ed Sheeran’s marital status have already pointed towards the singer being committed for life, this is the first real answer we’re getting to those questions. In a video interview with iHeartRadio’s Charlamagne Tha God, Ed quite clearly and casually admitted to having tied the knot with long-time girlfriend Cherry Seaborn.

When asked about any personal lyrics on the track “Remember the Name” Sheeran directly discussed the verse “Watch how the lyrics in the songs might get twisted / My wife wears red, but looks better without the lipstick.” He came right out with it and explained:
It was actually before me and Cherry got married and I knew that we’d be married by the point that the song came out. [I thought] Someone’s gonna hear that and be like, ‘Oh, they’re married!’ I didn’t know how that would be construed, but obviously it’s already come out.

The couple had previously announced their engagement last January 2018. They held their wedding back in December, just a few days before Christmas. It was a small and intimate wedding at their home in Suffolk, England.
