Corgi Who Played Cheddar In ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Has Passed Away

Sad news for Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans. It’s been announced that Stewart, the 12-year-old Corgi who played Captain Holt’s beloved baby Cheddar on the show, has passed away.

According to his owner and trainer, Kimberlee Esler, Stewart spent his last day frolicking at the California beach and eating In-N-Out burgers. She continued to write on her Instagram post that Stewart was put to sleep peacefully after their beach day while listening to the sounds of the ocean.

It seems like Stewart’s sister Stella is going to take over the role of Cheddar on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. The dog has crossed the rainbow bridge but we’ll still miss him. Happy trails, Stewart! Nine-nine!
