Originals Only (Oo) with Jack TV, ACOUSTEOKE at Upperhouse, and Guji Lorenzana’s Be Alright Cancer Awareness Campaign, come together this month to raise money for Nina Palma, who is suffering from stage 3 ovarian cancer.
The Be Alight Campaign, now a foundation, was formed after the passing of Guji Lorenzana’s mother to cervical cancer last year. In the honor of his mother, Guji wrote a song called Be Alright, becoming the basis for this foundation, dedicated to cancer awareness and prevention worldwide. This foundation now raises money for patients and regularly teams up with organizations like the Be The Match Foundation and the Asian American Donor Program, helping them with their efforts in the United States.
Here in Metro Manila, Guji’s foundation and OO come together on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, 8PM at Upperhouse, 2/F The Brewery at The Palace BGC to raise funds for a special cancer fighter. Join us in this fight. Performing will be Keiko Necesario, Jem Cubil, Guji Lorenzana, EJ De Perio, and Leanne and Naara. Originals Only is held monthly, showcasing artist from an array of OPM genres. Artists that have performed at Oo include OPM acts such as Moira Dela Torre, Nicole Asensio, St. Wolf, AJ Rafael, Three Legged Men, One Click Straight, and SUD.
