Less than a year after the success of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther, the King of Wakanda is getting the animated treatment in an upcoming TV series!

In the series, T’Challa must balance his duty as King of Wakanda with his duty as a member of the Avengers, as the mysterious Shadow Council attempts to challenge Wakanda. If you loved his sister Shuri in the film, she plays a more prominent role here.
Black Panther is the alter ego of T’Challa, the king of the fictional African nation of Wakanda. For generations, the kingdom has sought to keep their source of power and wealth a secret. By posing as a third world country, they successfully hide vast amounts of vibranium to develop advanced technology. Its film, released earlier this year, was met with critical acclaim, scoring 97% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Marvel’s Avengers: Black Panther’s Quest is set to premiere on September 23 on Disney XD.
