Since its conception in 1982 in France, Fete de la Musique has been one of the biggest music festivals in the world. Throughout the years, Fete de la Musique has grown and is  now celebrated in more than 800 different cities in 120 countries all over the world.

Fete de la Musique was first celebrated in the Philippines during the mid 90’s with only 40 people or so in attendance. Now, more than 10 years later, Fete de la Musique is considered to be the biggest free music festival in the Philippines with over 1500 musicians and 30 thousand attendees coming together. This June, Fete de la Musique will be happening once again in the Philippines and here are 5 reasons why you should totally check it out.

5. There will be music everywhere.

As in the past years, Fete de la Musique 2018 will be celebrated in more than 30 locations all over the Philippines. This year, the three main stages for Fete de la Musique will be: A-Venue Parking Lot, Greenbelt 3 Park, and the Puerta Real Gardens in Intramuros.

Performances in A-Venue Parking Lot and Greenbelt 3 Park will be held on June 23 while the performances in Intramuros will be held in June 29. Main stages in Baguio City, Pagsanjan, and Laguna will also be present on June 30, so those who live in those areas will also be able to enjoy the music.

Moreover, there will be 35 pocket stages in venues all over Makati on June 23 that are all genre-based. With that said, no matter where you are in the country, you’ll get the opportunity to partake in the musical celebrations.

4. No matter your musical preference, there is something for you.

Whether you’re a fan of rock music, jazz, RNB, pop, or anything in-between, there is something for you at Fete de la Musique 2018. Each of the pocket stages distributed all over Makati on June 23 will have a specific genre of music that the performances will cater to.

Moreover, aside from having some big name artists, a lot of up-and-coming musicians will also be performing. Some stages will also have open mics where anyone who wants to perform can get the chance to.

3. Finding schedules and venues for shows is super easy.

Because of the vast number of stages and performances happening at Fete de la Musique 2018, it can be really difficult to keep track of what is happening. Thankfully, with the help of Bizooku, Fete de la Musique 2018 has just launched a new app called Fete PH that allows users to access all of the information about the performance locations and schedules through their smartphones.

2. It is FREE!

Yes, you read that right. As in previous years, attending Fete de la Musique 2018 will not require you to shell out cash. Everyone and anyone is invited to join Fete de la Musique 2018 for free across all of the stages. To enjoy good music, all you basically have to do is show up and dance the night away.
