LISTEN: These college students cover The Greatest Showman’s “This is Me”, and we’re AWED!

Keala Settle would be SO PROUD.

It’s been a couple of months since The Greatest Showman premiered, and admittedly, we still have a hangover from one of the catchy songs of the film.

Uploaded by student-artist Matty from De La Salle University, he and his friends covered one of the film’s best hits, “This Is Me”.

The song won a Golden Globe for the “Best Original Song-Motion Picture” category, beating “Remember Me” from Coco and “Home” from Ferdinand, among others.

This is Me” speaks about stepping out of the shadows and fully embracing one’s identity despite peculiarities and imperfections. It was performed by the circus’ Bearded Lady (played by actress Keala Settle).

It is also Settle’s first performance on the silver screen, initially only performing on Broadway.

The song is all about empowerment – and did we mention that it also applies to the blending of voices of these student-artists? You’ll be astounded by what you’ll hear, so get ready to be awed and watch the video above!
