Netflix series Santa Clarita Diet’s lovely couple was given a warm and (very) loud Manila welcome the moment they faced their fans on the red carpet last March 12 in SM Megamall. And just as the crowd was going mad about the Hollywood stars’ appearance in the big city, Timothy Olyphant revealed that he used to live in Davao as a kid when his father worked in Del Monte for a very short period of time. Crazy!
Working on the second season
Netflix has been cooking up something mouth-wateringly delicious for its viewers, and we’re in for a bloody treat as they release the first episode of Santa Clarita Diet’s second season this March 23. The lovely couple, Shiela and Joel Hammond, were just as sweet on stage as they always are in the show.
“Working with Drew is just a dream. She’s just a dream.” Joel says as he shared what he loved most about working in the TV series.
And Drew adds that although everything is so disturbing and disgusting with the blood and the organs, she still really has a great time with her role as zombie mom with a high-protein diet.
The dynamic duo also claims that this new season may just be better than the first because of what they have in store for us. A husband and wife who decide to stick around for their daughter and for each other, even in the craziest circumstances, is really what gets this show going. Not to mention, the way Shiela devours human flesh is honestly so so charming, trust us.
