Last January 11, Maxene Magalona tied the knot with long-time boyfriend Robby Mananquil in a stunning beach wedding at the Shangri-La Boracay Resort. As expected, it was a beautiful wedding as Rob and Maxene got married at sunset, under a canopy of foliage and stars, but what really moved us was their beautiful vows to each other!
Rob dedicated this touching message to Max:
“In the past, my life was very dark and gloomy. But when I met you, you made me see the light. You made my world brighter, and I’m forever grateful to you for that. Meeting you made me realize a lot of things, and I began to realize and believe that, in the end, it’s not about our accomplishments, fame, wealth, riches, and other material things. All of those are just temporary. I began to understand that the true meaning of life is finding the one you are meant to spend this beautiful life [with]. Because I’ve learned that the meaningful things in life are never temporary, and I know in my heart, you and I are destined to live on.”
Meanwhile, Maxene had these beautiful words to say to Rob:
“I was a broken and aimless person, but your love and daily devotion gave me so much reason and direction. Through you, I have found so much purpose, and that purpose has been my compass to discovering the depths of my heart. You showed me how easy and natural love should be. You never asked me once to change anything about myself. You allowed love to speak its beautiful language. You showed me its true meaning…There isn’t a day that goes by when I don’t wish that you had met my dad. If he [were] here today, I just know how much he would love you.”
