Leave it to Disney to drop surprise trailers for magical films to watch out for. Just in time for the holidays, Disney just released the first trailer for the upcoming film, The Nutcracker and The Four Realms. While the story of The Nutcracker has been done and re-done in various films and Christmas TV specials, Disney has gone all out with their version of the classic tale.

This one’s definitely a far cry from the usual Nutcracker films we’ve seen before. It’s a tad bit darker, but a whole lot more magical–because it’s Disney! And, of course, how could I not mention the Nutcracker/Alice in Wonderland/Beauty and the Beast/Narnia crossover feels of this film?

And yes, that is indeed Mackenzie Foy in the lead role–the girl who played Renesmee Cullen from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn–Part 2.
There’s definitely a lot of things going on in this upcoming film, but that’s exactly how Disney films should be! Watch out for The Nutcracker and The Four Realms in cinemas next year!
