The MTV Video Music Awards was held this morning (Philippine time) at The Forum in California, where they recognized the best music videos released from June 25, 2016 to June 23, 2017. Katy Perry hosted this year’s run and as always, the show was packed with performances from some of pop’s most talented performers (along with the premiere of Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” music video).

We got all the performance at this year’s awards, so check out the videos below!

Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow”

Cardi B. performed her song “Bodak Yellow,” which Complex praised as “a great, extraordinarily catchy record.”

Bleachers’ “Don’t Take My Money”

Bleachers performed their song “Don’t Take My Money.” Bleachers’ frontman is Jack Antonoff, who co-wrote songs with Sara Bareilles, Taylor Swift, Lorde, and more.

Khalid’s “Location” and “Young, Dumb & Broke”

Khalid closed the pre-show by performing “Location” and “Young, Dumb & Broke.” The latter is one of the singer’s most popular songs, with more than 11 million views on its music video on YouTube.

Kendrick Lamar’s “DNA” and “Humble”

Kendrick Lamar opened the main show with a literally fiery performance of “DNA” and “Humble.” Lamar is also the evening’s most nominated artist.

 

Ed Sheeran and Lil Uzi Vert’s “Shape of You” and “XO TOUR Llif3”

Ed Sheeran and Lil Uzi Vert shared the stage by performing their hits “Shape of You” and “XO TOUR Llif3.” It made for an interesting combination!

Julia Michaels’ “Issues”

Julia Michaels’ performance started out great until her performance was cut short to go to commercial. Luckily, this video exists so fans can watch the full performance!

 

Shawn Mendes’ “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back”

Shawn Mendes performed his hit “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back,” which Billboard praised “the song’s sound falls right in line with the guitar-laced goodness he brought on his sophomore effort, but this time bringing in a little more edge.”

Lorde’s Homemade Dynamite

Lorde didn’t sing live because she had the flu but she still had fun by dancing on stage.

Fifth Harmony and Gucci Mane’s “Angel” and “Down”

The girls gave a fun and sexy performance of their hits “Angel” and “Down.”

Miley Cyrus’ “Younger Now”

Miley Cyrus showed off her singing chops in the title track of her Younger Now album. There’s still a touch of the wacky side Miley introduced in a previous VMA Awards show before, but her voice was the star this year.
