Happy birthday!!!
You’re all grown up now. LOL.
The iconic Philippine eagle was hatched on Jan 15, 1992. Pag-asa was the first Philippine eagle to be bred and hatched in captivity in the country.
According to the Philippine Star, Pag-asa was made possible “under the captive breeding program of the non-profit Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF) through the combined artificial and natural incubation technique taught by the World Center for Birds of Prey.”
Iconic, Pag-asa is the ambassador of Philippine eagles and has been effective in creating awareness and involvement in the conservation mission.
At present, Pag-asa lives in a large dome. It was said that Pag-asa is not ready to be released to the wild just yet.
Send in your greetings!
