Here are TIME Magazine’s “Worst Songs of the Year”

Some of the tracks on this list may surprise you.

While everyone else is capping off the best tunes from this year, TIME Magazine took the well, time, to name ten of 2016’s worst songs. I have to say however, while I am indifferent about some of their choices, some of the titles that have made it to the list are pretty unexpected.

And what was TIME’s Worst Song of the Year?

Apparently, the “Trolls” theme song, Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop The Feeling”, which was a massive success and has a feel-good, wholesome music video.

Of the song, TIME writes:

Timberlake hadn’t debuted a solo track in nearly three years when he dropped this uninspired “song of the summer” contender. The insipid earworm—which was ostensibly recorded for an animated movie about trolls—became essentially unavoidable at any social gathering where someone in attendance was likely to use the phrase “cut loose.” Forget the feeling—just please, please stop this song.

Yikes. Here are the other songs that round up the top 10:

10. 7 Years by Lukas Graham

9. Private Show by Britney Spears

8. NO by Meghan Trainor

7. i hate u, i love u by gnash

6. I Took A Pill in Ibiza by Mike Posner

5. Bad Things by Machine Gun Kelly

4. Ghostbusters (I Am Not Afraid) by Fall Out Boy and Missy Elliott

3. Team by Iggy Azalea

2. Mom by Meghan Trainor

It seems that TIME doesn’t care much for Meghan Trainor nor EDM.

Do you agree with the list? What would you have added or taken out?
