“We are all gathered here from different races, color, sex, gender, and background but when the lights go out, we are all one.”

Road to Ultra: Philippines 2016, one of the world’s biggest music festival to ever hit the Philippines, returned to Manila last September 17 at the Mall of Asia Arena with well known DJs such as Tiesto, Alesso, Fedde Le Grand, MoTi, and so much more!

Ultra Worldwide, together with Ovation Productions, made everything possible and presents you the massive festival. Check out what happened last year!

Road to Ultra showcased cutting-edge stage production including world-class visuals, lighting, and pyrotechnics.

The voice of ULTRA Worldwide, Damian Pinto, presented yesterday night as he hosted the big bash.

What he said struck me: “We are all gathered here from different races, color, sex, gender, and background but when the lights go out, we are all one. One family enjoying the love for music!”

The place was packed with people from all over South East Asia ready to rave to the music. It was such an amazing crowd!

Fedde LegrandFedde Le Grand

A familiar face from last year’s line-up, Fedde Le Grand, did not disappoint. His amazing set kept the crowd screaming!

When he drops his bass, your body feels like naturally fall into a head bang and your feet jumping up high.

JauzJauz

Sam Vogel, popularly known as Jauz, is a Los Angeles based EDM producer. He was not part of the original line-up and he filled in the place for Hardwell. A lot of people were disappointed when Hardwell left a Facebook status saying he won’t be able to come to this year’s Ultra due to the weather and cancelled flights. (I guess this is the second year in the row that he couldn’t make it but who’s counting anyway? 😛 )

AlessoAlesso

OH YEAH! When the crowd heard Alesso was going to play next, the arena roared. I have a hangover from Alesso’s set. It was amazing.

His visuals of a skull dripping with blood and being smashed by a hammer is so unforgettable.

Everyone was singing along his song ‘Years’ and, of course, when he played one of my favorites—If I Lose Myself by One Republic!

Last but definitely not the least, Tiesto’s set took the night away and made Ultra PH a night to remember! Can I just say how the lights during his set were so beautiful? I was just staring at them; my mind was so lost. (But all the while wondering why the iconic Ultra Logo “U” was not lit throughout the night.)

Hope to see Ultra relived again in 2017! Who would you want to see play next year?
