Pokemon Go broke the internet when it was officially launched in the Philippines (and the world). To date, the app has more than 100 million downloads, and encouraged everyone to go out of their house to look for Pokemon. We wonder: would it be the same if Harry Potter had a similar game? If so, what would it look like?
Stargaze Media created a video mock-up of what a Harry Potter Go game would look like. In the game, you can choose your Hogwarts house, hunt for fantastic beasts, collect famous witches and wizards cards, and find collectibles at Magic Stops.
A news article released earlier this month said that Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, acquired the rights for Harry Potter Go and that the target release date is 2017. However, it was revealed that the source website is blank, and that the interview with senior developer Marcus Figueroa and IGN never took place.
So it looks like Harry Potter Go is a no-go. For now.
