Meditate to Fight Stress: This Buddhist Master Shows You How to Meditate Anywhere

It is a common misconception that meditation is about blocking the thoughts and silencing the mind. Although the mind does eventually fall silent, I have learned through my own practice that this does not happen by force. Meditation is about being fully present in the moment, and this can be achieved if you only let things be. Let thoughts come, let thoughts go.

Meditation is a fantastic way to relieve yourself of stress, anxiety, and, in many cases, even depression. I do not know the science behind this, but it really works. Perhaps it’s in the detaching yourself from external noise and focusing just on yourself.

Another thing that you should be focusing on: your breath. Why? One of the best masters of Tibetan Buddhism, Mingyur Rinpoche, explains in this Huff Post video how you can start a meditation practice anytime, anywhere.
