Yes yes yes! Fan of the first Step Up movie? Then you’d be happy to hear that couple Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan Tatum are bringing the franchise back to the screen…as a TV series!
The Tatums, who are the original cast from the first Step Up movie, first met on that set before it was released in 2006. Ten years ago. We all know that they’re married now and have a beautiful baby daughter who we’re pretty sure is going to grow up to be a fantastic dancer like her parents as well. Step Up, a romance drama revolving around dance, was a big hit in 2006 which turned it into a franchise. Four more Step Up films followed in the next eight years.
Goes without saying, Step Up is very special to Channing and Jenna, and so they’ve partnered up with YouTube Red, YouTube’s newly launched premium subscription program, to create the Step Up series. The Tatums will be producing the series, alongside the films’ original producers, Jennifer Gibgot, Adam Shankman, and Meredith Milton.
No news yet as to when this is coming out, but we are surely excited!
