Thanks to PMCM Management and Resorts World Manila, WhenInManila.com was able to host a special screening of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice last week. Of course, after watching the movie, everyone had their views on the first appearance of Ben Affleck as Batman and so we’ve decided to rank the movie Batmans based on our own personal preferences. 5. George Clooney (Batman and Robin, 1997)

Let’s just not even start with this one. Kidding. George Clooney actually wasn’t that bad. He just suffered from a bad bat suit (hello, nipples!), a bad script… ah. Who am I kidding? George Clooney himself actually apologised for his portrayal of Batman, so I’m going to try and stop making excuses for him now.

 

4. Val Kilmer (Batman Forever, 1995)

An unpopular opinion, but I quite loved Val Kilmer as Batman. I think he looked absolutely great in the cowl. As Bruce Wayne, however, I wasn’t a huge fan. Also, his movie wasn’t as dark as Batman is meant to be in my opinion.

 

3. Michael Keaton (Batman, 1989, and Batman Returns, 1992)

Now, Michael Keaton… He was a great Bruce Wayne. His Batman persona, on the flip side, is what didn’t entice me very much. If you would take Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne and pair it up with Val Kilmer’s Batman, I think that would have been something epic.

 

2. Christian Bale (Batman Begins, 2005; The Dark Knight, 2008; and The Dark Knight Rises, 2012)

A lot of people love Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne and Batman tandem because he was dark, serious, relatable and realistic. And I loved him, too. The only thing I didn’t like about him was that over-the-top husky bat voice. Still, up until 2012, he was my favorite Batman. And then Batfleck came along…
