Va va voom! According to an interview with the Philippine Daily Inquirer, he “sticks to grilled food, no seasoning (…) eats bread or cereal in the morning, and usually works on one area a day.”

Michael also trains “four hours on ice, and two hours of off-ice training, which includes going to the gym, (…) and one hour running with his husky“.

6) When he wanted to “show some love”.

Michael has been expressive on his social media account how much he loves his huskies. He even made a separate Instagram account dedicated to his dog, Mr. Ichiban. You can check it out here.

A ‘quad’ is a jump where a skater rotates four and a half revolutions on air. Michael has also expressed that he has been gearing up for quads for his future routines.

You’d be surprised that a figure skater can land as much as 1000 lbs of pressure coming from an ‘exit’ from a jump, according to MentalFloss.com.

Remove that jacket – isn’t it a little hot? We’re not in the ice skating rink after all, right? 😉

Eyes are on the price for our ice skating prince who is currently training for the Winter Olympics next year. Michael has been taking goals one step at a time. He is currently gearing up for the Nebelhorn Trophy in Germany that will happen around later this year. This competition is the second qualifying event for the 2018 Winter Olympics, where the top six skaters are only able to compete next year. With hard work and high hopes, our fingers are crossed for our representative!
