Two days before the first State of the Nation Address (SONA), President Rodrigo Duterte is already enjoying a good reputation. The Pulse Asia Research, Incorporated survey ranked him as having the highest trust rating of any Filipino official since it began its survey in 1999.
The national survey, held from July 2 to 8, 2016, revealed that 91% of the 1,200 surveyed said that they trust the president. The study also revealed that .02% don’t trust him, and 8% are undecided. The respondents are aged 18 years old and above.
To date, President Duterte has the highest trust rating of any politician. Former president Benigno Aquino III used to hold the record, with an 85% trust rating in July 1 to 11, 2010.
The Pulse Asia survey also shows that 62% of Filipinos trust Vice President Leni Robredo, 11% don’t, and 27% are undecided.
