OMG: The Spice Girls Are Back… But They Changed Their Name and Lost 2 Members

The Spice Girls song may be called “2 Become 1,” but for the girl group that rocked the ’90s, it should be renamed to “5 Become 3.” Because while it’s true that the girls are back, they have changed their name and they lost two members.

Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell (now Horner), and Emma Bunton looks like they will be back for a reunion. The three posted a short video on Youtube, with Horner saying, “You’ve stood by us for 20 years, and we wanna say a big thank you.” Brown adds, “and we wanna celebrate and have a party. And when we do, you’re all invited.

The catch? They are now called GEM, an acronym for their first names. And Victoria Beckham and Melanie Chisholm won’t be part of it 🙁

The details in the video aren’t much, but it looks like they’re celebrating the 20th anniversary of their hit song “Wannabe” with a reunion tour, as promised. The video ends with “We hope to tell you soon what you want. What you really, really want. #Wannabe.”

What do you think they have planned? Share your thoughts below!
