LOOK: Seven-Foot Fish Caught in Negros Occidental

And the Philippines, so rich in biodiversity. In this Facebook post that’s gone viral, a seven foot grouper fish is pictured, as caught in Cadiz City in Negros Occidental. The fish was said to weigh 400 kilos! Wow. Take a look at the Facebook post below:

“7-foot fish caught

A 7-foot grouper fish, locally known as “enid”, became an instant celebrity in Cadiz City yesterday. The fish, estimated to weigh 400 kilos, was caught by fishermen on board the F/B Doña Laura of Laura Fishing owned by Laura Vijandre, in the waters of Masbate on Monday. The FB Doña Laura arrived in Cadiz City yesterday afternoon and people flocked to the Laura Fishing compound at Barangay Zone 4, to have their picture taken with the giant fish, Vijandre said. Vijandre said she will have the giant fish preserved so it can be put on display during the next Panaad sa Negros Festival in Bacolod City.*CPG”
