Justin Bieber went through his threat and deactivated his Instagram account, following a barrage of negative comments from fans on his newfound friendship with Lionel Richie’s 17-year-old daughter Sophia.
Sophia and Justin have been seen out and about, amid speculations of a new romance between the two.
Ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez even took the time to defend Justin’s fans by leaving a comment on Justin’s photo, saying:
“If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you.”
After the pop star deactivated his Instagram page, it looks like Selena regretted the turn of events, posting on Snapchat:
