HBO received 99 Primetime Emmy® nominations, the most of any network for the 14th year in a row, for the upcoming 66th Primetime Emmy Awards®, which were announced in Los Angeles on July 10, 2014.

GAME OF THRONES led all nominees with 19 nominations, while THE NORMAL HEART received 16 nominations, TRUE DETECTIVE received 12 nominations and VEEP received 9 nominations.

19 nominations for GAME OF THRONES, including: Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series (Peter Dinklage), Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series (Lena Headey), Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series (Diana Rigg), Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (Neil Marshall) and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series (David Benioff and D.B. Weiss).

 

THE NORMAL HEART got 16 nominations, including: Outstanding Television Movie, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie (Mark Ruffalo), 4 for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie (Matt Bomer, Joe Mantello, Alfred Molina, Jim Parsons), Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie (Julia Roberts), Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special (Ryan Murphy) and Outstanding Writing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special (Larry Kramer).

12 nominations for TRUE DETECTIVE, including: Outstanding Drama Series, 2 for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (Woody Harrelson, Matthew McConaughey), Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (Cary Joji Fukunaga) and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series (Nic Pizzolatto).
