Nurture Spa Village TagaytayÂ
Â
During our recent trip to Nurture Spa Village in Tagaytay, all four of us (Frank, Bea and Badeth) were introduced to very healthy new recipes which were prepared by the people behind Nurture Spa Village for their clients who seek to cleanse their system- The Raw Gourmet Meals. This revolutionary menu aims to detoxify your system to give way to a new and healthier you! And the great thing about it is that, the ingredients are soooo easy to find and the recipes are easy to make,  that you can also do it at the comfort of your own homes.
Â
I would have to say that I’m very much guilty when in comes to my food choices. Â Most of the time, I don’t really care about whether what I’m eating is healthy or not, Â just as long as it tastes good. No wonder I’ve always been struggling with my weight for more than a decade now. We’ll, I’m not really obese or what however, I know how having curves enhances ones self-confidence… and for a person like me, to have confidence is really important. People say I tend to have this overflowing supply of confidence at times but I must admit thatwhenever I gain weight (like nowadays), I do feel down and insecure as well like how a normal girl would feel… and it’s the worst feeling of all =(
Â
Â
Â
Â
Here are some recipes:
Â
Â
all you need are fresh ingredientsÂ
Â
Â
Â
1. Raw gourmet PASTAS of  Nurture Spa Village
Â
When I first heard about RAW Pasta, it really kept me thinking … how is it possible? By the time Chef Lawrence of Nurture Spa Village showed me the ingredients… “ahhhhh ok!” So all of them are made from raw veggies! Chef Lawrence prepared some Raw Squash Pomodoro Pasta and Cucumber Pesto Pasta for us!
Â
Â
To achieve this, you need a machine that can cut your main veggie into long spaghetti like strings to have that pasta feel.
You’ll also need a reliable blender that is not very expensive at all.Â
Â
Â
Â
you also need the help of some fresh herbs and spices to still make your dish become tasty
Â
Â
Â
Squash Pomodoro Raw Pasta: I remember Chef Lawrence pureed fresh tomatoes, olive oil, along with garlic, some herbs and spices which resulted in this fresh tasting raw dish.Â
Â
It would taste weird at first  however, the great thing about this is that, while eating it, you can truly feel that you are taking in something that is good for you.  It’s not actually bland but I think I wasn’t just used to the texture of the crunchy squash replacing my pasta.  Judging by the brilliant color of the squash, I knew I was taking in all of its vitamins!
Â
Â
Â
For the Cucumber Pesto Raw Pasta: Chef Lawrence also pureed some fresh basil, olive oil. garlic and choice herbs and spices to achieve this!Â
Â
I requested him to add some pine nuts and Parmesan cheese for added taste and textureÂ
Â
Â
Â
meet Hannah from Germany: She’s a vegan and I bet she enjoyed the raw pastas very much like I did. She sure knows a lot about healthy stuff. We actually learned a lot from her. She also makes fabulous breads!
Â
Â
Â
Â
2. Detoxifying Smoothies of Nurture Spa Village
Â
Now this is something which I have already introduced at home and I really hope I could do more if this! These smoothies are all refreshingly great tasting and you bet they’re all healthy!  Today I’ll be sharing 1 recipe for you to try –
Â

Â
Â
Â

Â
Â

Â
Â
Â

Â
3. Dark Chocolate Banana Truffles
Â
Now this my friend, is proof that even healthy foods can taste superb! All you really need is a bit of creativity! This dessert  is a must try! Best to use dark chocolate as it is really healthy and good for the heart! Super fun and easy to do!
Â
Â
ingredients:

Â
Â
 mash the bananas well
Â
Â
Â
by using a spoon, cover it with you melted dark chocolate
Â
Â
Â
you now have the option to whether to cover it with either cocoa powder, nuts or desiccated coconut
Â
Â
Â
be sure to put it in the freezer immediately to set before serving!
Â
Â
Â
I’m a believer of Nurture Spa Village. Aside from providing guests with overall wellness, their owners Cathy, Mike, as well as Sir Martin, Hannah, Chef Lawrence and all the rest of the staff are such great people to be with. It’s really more on the feeling that attracts me to this place so I choose to spend my precious time in going there to learn and write about them in order for more people to be aware about alternative medicines and ways to heal themselves without suffering from any harmful side effects.
Â
Â
The Nurture Spa Village in Tagaytay is truly more than just cozy comfy rooms and world-class massage/spa treatments…. it’s a place which truly cares for you! So when in Manila and would like to reward yourself with something really good for both mind and body, just go to Nurture Spa Village and won’t need to worry about a thing!
