Coffee Con: Celebrate Coffee, Books and Art at the Coffee Culture Fest at McKinley Hill
This July, Mckinley Hill is shining the spotlight on one of the world’s favorite drinks with Coffee Culture Fest, a celebration of coffee, books and art!
Every Friday to Sunday of July, coffee lovers can enjoy even more of their favorite drink as they get 50% off on various coffee products or a free refill with purchase. from B&T Mexican Kitchen, Agave Mexican Cantina, Trattoria Poggio Antico, Littla Asia, Milky Way, The Burgery, Black Canyon, Sauceria, Binalot and Terry’ Selection.
A series of events will also be held at the Venice Piazza Atrium that will guests enjoy coffee with fun activities. On July 14 -20, guests can indulge in great reads and coffee drinks at the Coffee+Book Fair with Books for Less. They can also discover art made from coffee grounds from artist Vincent Navarro at the Coffee+Art Exhibit.
A Fine Arts Graduate of the University of the Philippines Baguio, Vincent Navarro is an accomplished Visual Artist and Fine Arts teacher. His love affair with using coffee as an art medium culminated in his ground-breaking thesis “Art in Coffee” which was recognized as the college-wide Outstanding Thesis in his university.
This study paid tribute to the Philippine coffee industry through a portrait series of ten faces of local coffee farmers from Benguet made from coffee grounds; it also earned both local and global acclaim as Navarro was invited to join the 2nd International Arts Forum held in New York by the World Youth Alliance.
On July 20, guests also have the chance to make their own artwork at a free workshop called Coffee+Art Affair from 12NN – 5PM, to be conducted by Vincent Navarro and My Little Art Place.
Then on July 21 -27, guests can check out organic coffees, coffee-flavoured desserts, coffee makers and more at the Coffee Bazaar.
