Actress Angel Locsin is still interested to play Darna if given the chance, but she doesn’t want to think about it for now.
Angel is reportedly focused on healing from her spinal injury, which forced her to drop out of the superhero film last year, a move that she says devastated her. As for the continuous clamor from fans to go on with the project, Angel said:
“Actually sobrang hirap sagutin kung paano dahil alam naman nila gaano ko ka gusto yung project talaga, kung gaano kamahal ‘yung proyekto. But ang hirap kasi after nung interview ko, triny ko talaga siyang kalimutan, sobrang depressed talaga ako at that time. Kung sakali naman ibigay muli dapat magpagaling muna ako. Ayusin ko muna yung sarili ko para gawin ko nang tama […]kung ibibigay sa akin eh para sa akin iyon, kung hindi man, hindi para sa akin iyon.”
Other actresses such as Luis’ rumored squeeze Jessy Mendiola and Liza Soberano are rumoured to be other choices for the role.
