After 548 consecutive days of relaxing/studying to lofi hip hop beats with the famous studying anime girl, live streamers were shocked when the video suddenly stopped and the channel was mysteriously suspended.
ChilldCow, the creator behind the 13,000-hour live playlist which has since become an iconic piece of pop culture, revealed on Twitter that its account was temporarily shut down due to “noncompliance on YouTube’s Terms of Service.” However, the ban was later lifted and people from all over the world can once again relax/study to its music.

It is unclear what merited the suspension, especially since ChilledCow isn’t the sole YouTube live streamer of lofi music; many channels simultaneously run 24/7 streams of their own handpicked selections of relaxing beats. But it’s no question that “lofi hip hop beats to relax/study to” leads the pack with 4.35 million subscribers and over a whopping 218 million views in the 548-day long stream.
