Every 28th day of September, the Philippines supports the Global Alliance for Rabies Control (GARC) in celebrating the World Rabies Day.
This year’s celebration with the theme “Rabies: Zero by 2020” aims to raise awareness on the impact of human and canine Rabies, its prevention and control and the elimination of the disease as an animal and public health concern.
“Youth United Against Rabies” aims to empower pet owners and the young generation of veterinarians to take part in raising awareness and combating the deadly disease through education and mass vaccination.
