You Can Now Type in Baybayin on Google Keyboard!

If you’re passionate about keeping our indigenous languages alive, then you will be ecstatic with this news. Android users will now be able to type in four different indigenous Filipino handwriting systems on Google’s virtual keyboard!

The available writing systems are Baybayin, Buhid, Tagbanwa (Aborlan), and Hanunuo. Apart from these four, Gboard also currently supports over 10 Filipino languages like Kapampangan, Tausug, Ilocano, and Waray among others.

Apart from this, Google also announced that Cebuano is now available in Word Lens, a feature that lets you translate any printed text in real-time using the camera on your Android device.
