Today, the premium airport bus service was launched and it will be available starting tomorrow, February 18. This service will provide an additional option to travelers who are transiting through the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

According to gov.ph, there will be 42 buses that will operate to and from NAIA by June on a 24-hour basis.

The routes are:

  • From NAIA Terminals 1, 2, and 3, the bus service will have two routes, going to Roxas Boulevard and to the Makati Central Business District.
  • Along Roxas Boulevard, passengers will be able to board and descend from the bus at the following locations namely Midas Hotel, Hotel Jen, Manila Hotel, Mall of Asia, and Entertainment City.
  • In Makati City, passengers will be able to board and descend from the bus at the following locations namely Glorietta 4 and 5, and Ascott Hotel.

There will be designated drop-off and pick-up points in these areas.

To avail of this transportation service, passengers should approach the transportation desk personnel at the arrival curbside area for assistance. An automated fare collection system will also be developed in the future to provide the option for advanced online booking.

A flat rate of PhP 300 will be applied as approved by the LTFRB.

The buses are operated by trained drivers. There will be an on-board transport attendant that will man the buses. Each bus can sit 24 passengers and has ample space for baggage.

The buses are equipped with closed-circuit television cameras (CCTV), Global Positioning System (GPS), and an on-board Wi-Fi facility.

An interim service will first be implemented making use of six standard, air-conditioned buses as service provider AIR21 makes arrangements to complete its fleet of premium buses for the airport. AIR21 will be operating the premium Airport Bus Service under the brand name UBE Express.
