YASSS! Japanese Anime ‘Kimi No Na Wa’ will Hit PH Cinemas on Dec 14

Finally, SM Cinema confirmed through its website that it will air the Japanese anime hit “Kimi No Na Wa” (Your Name).

Rumors about the movie getting aired in Philippine movie theaters started around November, and now it will finally come true.

“Kimi No Na Wa” is a story of two high school students, Mitsuha Miyamizu from the countryside and Taki Tachibana from Tokyo, whose dreams and lives get tangled as a comet approaches the Earth.

Apparently, “It will make you cry, it will make you laugh, it will transform you into a magical world exploring true love and great friendship.

A box office hit, the movie has reportedly earned more than 20 billion yen (about P8.7 billion). It is now the second highest grossing Japanese film of all time, overtaking Studio Ghibli’s “Howl’s Moving Castle” who earnings is at 19.

6 billion yen (about P8.5 million). It is just behind another Studio Ghibli film, the Oscar-winning “Spirited Away” whose earnings is at 30.8 billion yen (about P13 billion).

As to which SM Cinema theaters will show it, we’ll have to wait for further updates.
