Xian Lim surprised the audience at Magandang Buhay when he showed off his hidden talent for ventriloquism.
The actor introduced to everyone his puppet, Jun-Jun, which he made speak without moving his mouth.

According to Xian, he got into ventriloquism after watching videos of it on the Internet. Since he was just an only child, he liked the idea of having someone to talk to.
“Sabi ko nakakatuwa ito may kausap sila, nag-uusap sila. Ako naman sobrang suwak sa akin kasi I’m an only child, wala akong kapatid. Sabi ko okay ito puwede akong may kausap,” he shared with the hosts of Magandang Buhay. “Hinanap ko ang mga ventriloquist natin dito sa Pilipinas and I ordered it. It took six to seven months.”
He then explained why it mattered to him that he learned something new every time, whether it’s learning a new instrument or an entirely new hobby like ventriloquism. He credited his mom for teaching him to “never stop learning.”
“Kasi parang sobrang iksi lang ng buhay natin and it’s really good to make use of your time na parang lagi kang may natututunan. ‘Di ka lang parang walang ginagawa,” he said. “If it scares you, might as well give it a shot. If you fail, you’ll learn something from it.”
