Woman Flees Supposed Kidnapping, Sister Shares Incident Online

There have been accounts of kidnapping reported online but the most recent one that is making rounds on social media is about a woman who was able to fight back and flee from her supposed abduction.

From a Facebook post made last August 19, 2014 by Jernest Mansilla-Carpio, it showed the before and after photo of her sister who was on her way for a job interview somewhere in Shaw Blvd, but ended up fighting back her alleged kidnappers and was able to escape what could have been something worse .

The post is as follows.

Woman Almost Kidnapped

The caption says:

Left pic: My sister before she left the house for a job interview somewhere in Shaw Blvd. this morning

Right pic: She just got home an hour ago, sira na ang damit, puro bukol sa ulo

When she got off the bus near Shangri-La Mall Edsa, may sumunod sa kanyang guy from the bus. Hinihila siya saying, “halika, dito, halika dito’” then to her surprise, may tumigil na van in front of them, may bumaba na isang lalaki forcing her to get inside the van. While the other guy was punching her on the head. Mabuti na lang my sister knows how to defend herself and was able to fight back with these men. She threw lots of punches against these men at binigay niya daw ng lakas niya ‘wag lang siyang maisakay. Luckily, she was able to run from them, but they got her iPhone, bag and cash. But my sister said wala siyang panghihinayang na naramdaman and she’s very thankful na di siya naipasok sa van at possible ma-rape.

Nakakalungkot mapatunayan na hindi na safe sa pampublikong lugar.

Thank you, Lord, despite evil spirits lurking around, You’re still here guiding us. My sister got home with the help of this Lola who witnessed everything. Lola gave her 0 pesos para daw may pamasahe siya pauwi, and another person also approached her, gave her 8 pesos and said “pasensiya ka na barya lang, sakto lang kasi ang pang-uwi ko.” Thank you, Lord, may mabubuti pa rin na tao. Stay safe everyone!

Rough translation:

Left pic: My sister before she left the house for a job interview somewhere in Shaw Blvd this morning

Right pic: She just got home an hour ago with a torn blouse and swelling bumps on the head

When she got off the bus near Shangri-La Mall EDSAm a guy from the bus followed her. He pulled her saying, “Come here, come here.” Then to her surprise, a van stopped in front of them and one guy went out forcing her to get inside the van while the other guy is punching her on the head. Luckily, my sister knows how to defend herself and was able to fight back these men. She threw a lot of punches against these men, and according to her, she gave all she can so that they can’t force her to get inside the van. Luckily, she was able to run from them but they got her iPhone, bag, and cash. But my sister said she doesn’t regret what she lost and she’s grateful that they weren’t able to take her where she could have been possibly raped.

It’s just disheartening to prove that it isn’t safe even in public places.

Thank you Lord despite evil spirits lurking around You’re still here guiding us. My sister got home with the help of this old lady who witnessed everything. She gave her 50 pesos she can use to get a ride home. Another person approached her and gave her 8 pesos and said, “Sorry if I only have coins to spare because my money is just enough for my fare home.” Thank you Lord that there are still good people such as these ones. Stay safe everyone!
