If you are a big fan of the Miss Universe pageant, you might be in for a big treat! This year, we hosted the said pageant and surprisingly, there have been rumors that we might host it again next year.
According to Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Wanda Teo, the Miss Universe organization offered to our country the hosting rights to the upcoming Miss Universe pageant happening this November.
Teo said, “We’re still studying it but that’s true, they are asking us to host it again this year.”
Apparently, the organization was elated on the way we hosted the 65 Miss Universe Beauty Pageant, which was held last January.
The coronation night was held at the MOA Arena where Miss France Iris Mittenaere was crowned as Miss Universe.
In turn, the country hosting the event is said to have helped boost tourism.
In the next Miss Universe pageant, Rachel Peters will represent our country.
