ABOUT WHO RUN THE WORLD
Who RUN the World: Heroes vs Villains is a fun run event hosted by the University of the Philippines Variates Inc. (UPV) to jumpstart its 25th anniversary week. It constitutes runners portraying superheroes and villains of the movie industry, keeping in line with the organizations’ theme UPV at 25: Looking through the Silver Screen.
The participants of the event are encouraged to wear their favourite superhero or villain costume during the duration of the run, with the option to come in coordinated costumes with their family and friends. Runners would be divided into 2 categories by the distance run: 3km and 5km. At the end of the race, cash prizes and sponsored products are to be awarded to the best runner in the respective categories, best hero, best villain, and best Heroes vs Villains group costume.

ABOUT UP Variates, Inc.
The University of the Philippines Variates, Inc., commonly known as the UP Variates or UPV, is the duly recognized non-profit socio-academic organization of the UP School of Statistics. Founded in September 8, 1989, it has focused on supporting the development of the academe and national community, through the Statistical Challenge, educational discussions, and its Alternative Classroom Learning.
